Rose Gerber’s Journey to Put Patients in the Driver’s Seat
Being diagnosed with cancer while I was a young mother was an experience that I will never forget. When I was filled with despair, my care providers played a key role in providing me with hope. I was given resources, advice, support, and much more by people who had supported others through this challenging journey. I now use my patient experience in combination with my professional role as Director of Patient Advocacy and Education for the Community Oncology Alliance Patient Advocacy Network (CPAN) to bring these resources to patients, caregivers, and survivors.
Being informed keeps patients in charge of their journey. I have committed myself to ensuring patients gain knowledge about issues that matter to them. I would like to invite you to join us on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 for the Community Oncology Advocacy Summit: Cancer Care in a COVID-19 World .
The Community Oncology Advocacy Summit is a free, virtual learning event for patients with cancer and patient advocates. COVID-19 has turned the health care world upside down. This event will empower patients and advocates to obtain the best treatment knowledge possible in an uncertain world.
Attendees will learn about the latest in cancer policy and legislation, what cancer care will look like in the future, issues that impact your treatment, and much more. I hope you’ll join us and the thousands of other attendees for this exciting live event.
