The current structure of the 340B program allows hospitals to reap massive profits by purchasing drugs at a discount, then keeping those profits instead of passing them on to the patients who need them. These funds allow large hospitals to purchase competitors and force community practices out of business, stifling competition and increasing the cost of care for everyone.
