New York Cancer & Blood Specialists
Supporting Patient Advocacy
New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) works tirelessly to provide focused, whole-person care for patients at its 20 locations throughout New York City and Long Island. With an extensive team of oncologists, nutritionists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and more, NYCBS is uniquely equipped to provide high-quality care and support for patients.
Recognizing the important role clinical trials play in cancer care, NYCBS’s onsite research center enables staff to deliver cutting-edge treatments. Nine full-time research staff provide patients opportunities to participate in research trials aimed at breast, lung, ovarian, pancreatic, and prostate cancers, as well as hematology studies that focus on anemia, leukemia, and lymphoma.
For NYCBS staff, advocating for patient choice isn’t simply a means to maintain high-quality care, it’s a natural extension of their commitment to patient well-being. NYCBS’ committed team and network of patient advocates fight for the preservation of community oncology through virtual and in-person events, patient stories shared on the CPAN website, and meetings with policymakers at the state and national levels.
